Ashley Bowman
Ashley creates clothing that is personally sentimental, using materials from the past and from family heirlooms as a basis. She adds an edge of modern sleekness of metals and faux leathers to the flow of antique laces and crepes. You can still see a resemblance of innocence, doll type themes being apparent in her personal looks. Ashley's love for historical items has molded her personal style and design tastes in an extreme way.
Her first collection, Earth & Industry will be presented at NKU in May. The looks embody everything she stands for as a designer; fluidity and organization of similar fabric mediums and colors, contrast of shocking and unexpected detailing, and sweetness of conservative historical design. She hopes to reach more people with her designs, as she feels anyone can be a collective of all mediums as she herself is. Her designs are for people who march to the beat of their own drum and want everyone to know it.

Rebecca George
purpleandlime is a fun, luxurious womenswear line inspired by Rebecca George's fashionable vision. Opulent jeweled pieces and fake fur merge with exotic influences to create dramatic yet wearable clothing and accessories. Several pieces from Rebeccas graduation collection entitled The Power of Queens were in i-D Magazine (UK, Feb. 2007), and she also worked on mens leather pouches for the movie Elizabeth: The Golden Age, which won an Oscar for Best Costume.
This current collection for Cincinnati Fashion Week is a tribute to her Native American heritage and the wildlife of the state of Ohio. Rebecca is originally from Cincinnati and attended Walnut Hills High School. She graduated from the University of Michigan in Art History and Geology and then earned a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from the American Intercontinental University in London, England. Running her own fashion business is both challenging and rewarding for Rebecca- she looks forward to the future, especially the first ever Cincinnati Fashion Week!
Kathleen Wille
Kathleen remembers Twiggy as the inspiration for her first creation, a yellow pique mini dress trimmed with daisies. As a child she was sewing at an early age and taking the scissors to clothes she wanted to change, but Kathleen did not take the straight path to a career in fashion design. In college, her study of statistics took her in a different direction, and her career in fashion had to wait. However, she always had new creations to wear that were of unexpected quality and design.
Kathleen envisions her typical client as having a complicated life with many responsibilities throughout her day caring for her family, mentoring the new hire, working with her colleagues, and meeting with influential people. She wants to wear fabulous clothing made from the finest fabrics that are classic, contemporary and impeccable. Kathleen mixes classically tailored elements and feminine details to create elegant silhouettes that work from morning to evening, weekdays and weekends, at home and abroad.
In 2011, Kathleen will take up residence in Versailles, KY to focus full time on fashion design and continue to build her business. She is finally living her dream FASHION.
Lindsey Lusignolo
Up and coming bridal and eveningwear designer Lindsey Lusignolo will be showing her first collection in Cincinnati's Fashion Week. Lindsey was first drawn into fashion by theater. Taking her creativity and passion to help inspire wardrobes on stage, in film, and music including the Cincinnati Ballet, Chris Brown, and The Rockettes. A Cincinnati native, she studied Costume at the School for Creative and Performing Arts and worked in the industry for 10 years. She was fascinated by the importance of a costume to transcend a storyline, and became intrigued with the character/costume reciprocal relationship. Creating this momentary statement is what motivated Lindsey into Bridal and Eveningwear, where her character has now become a customer, and the one-time statement piece all the more significant and timeless.
Lindsey continued her education at the University of Cincinnatis College of DAAP where she studied Fashion Design. She continues to pursue her goal of creating unique, glamorous gowns for the bride or socialite who has their own statement to make to the world. Lindsey believes in emulating confidence, independence, and character through her gowns. By tapping into her costume background, she gives a nod to the sensational costumes of the 20s and 30s and twists those beloved elements with her own chic style creating pieces that are new, alluring and unconventional. She uses rich fabrics, Swarovski crystals, and feathers on her gowns as her signature approach to the ever-growing industry. Lindsey is excited to continue making pieces that will emulate a womans captivating nature, and to bring out their personal beauty.
